David began his professional music career in the Maritimes, touring widely, playing guitar and singing a raft of original songs. After performing as a singer- song writer in folk clubs in Halifax and New Brunswick, he travelled to England where he played in local London clubs before returning to Canada by way of Toronto. There he quickly settled into a career of music, establishing a circuit of clubs in and around the city and cutting his first single “Never Gonna Leave You”, which was played on radio stations across the country.

Over the years David has played at folk venues in Ontario, BC, Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland. In that time he wrote numerous songs and honed his craft before family life and a career in radio broadcasting and magazine writing beckoned. All that changed four years ago when he began attending music festivals across western Canada and resumed performing at venues across Vancouver Island, B.C.

Since returning to the music scene, David has slowly gathered materials for his first full length CD “From Away” - pausing to take up the banjo and rehearsing and performing regularly with his group, the David Kosub Quartet. He makes his home in Victoria, B.C.
